By 2021, Chubb managed to almost halve their Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions. Their GHG emissions dropped to 44,326 metric tons of CO2 equivalent in 2021, down from 88,482 metric tons in the baseline year of 2016. Despite this, the Swiss insurer remained in the bottom half of the largest global insurance companies in terms of ESG scores.
