Approximately 50 percent of people in both rural and urban areas felt that the government always treated people unfairly based on their financial situation. Additionally, around 20 percent of the population said that this happened often. Overall, the majority of people in Tunisia felt that the gap between the rich and the poor was a serious issue in their society.
