In France, the amount of state aid to companies has been multiplied by 16 in four decades. Indeed, in 1979, companies had received 9.72 billion euros of public aid, compared to 157 billion in 2019. According to the OXFAM report on inequalities, this sum represents more than twice the cumulative budget dedicated to ecology, transport, housing and support to territories. According to the same report, public aid to companies should exceed 200 billion in 2021.
