According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Taiwan in 2023 on social commerce, almost 56 percent of respondents aged between 25 and 34 stated that they never bought anything via social media because they do not trust the process of buying products. Another important reason against social media purchases for around half of respondents was their preference of buying products from the official website or physical store.
