According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Hong Kong in 2023 on social commerce, more than 84 percent of female respondents and 82 percent of male respondents stated that convenience led them to purchase items via social media. Sale and promotion codes were the second biggest reason leading to purchases on social media.
