According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in 2023 on social commerce in Malaysia, 66 percent of female respondents who have never shopped on social media said that they preferred to purchase products from official websites or physical stores. By comparison, 55 percent of male respondents said they didn't trust the process of buying products via social media.
