According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Hong Kong in 2023 on the frequency of social commerce purchases during the last 12 months, nearly 42 percent of respondents aged 25 to 34 years old stated that they regularly shop on social media. Overall, the frequency of shopping online via social media was higher among younger generations.
