Leading banks in Egypt 2022, by profit

Banque Misr was the most profitable bank in Egypt. As of December 2021, the bank generated almost 1.5 billion U.S. dollars. National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Commercial International Bank (CIB) followed with approximately 960 and 653 million U.S. dollars as of June 2021 and December 2022, respectively. Additionally, Banque du Caire ranked as the fifth most profitable bank in the country, sixth in terms of tier 1 capital and fifth with the highest assets.
