The parliamentary elections of 2023 in Cuba registered one of the lowest turn-outs in recent years. During the electoral procedure, Cubans were expected to ratify lawmakers of a list of candidates only from the Communist Party of Cuba, due to opposition parties not being allowed in the country. Overall, only 19.8 percent of Cubans thought the elections are fair.
