In a September 2022 survey, over 65 percent of the manufacturing companies in the United Kingdom (UK) stated that they had experienced a disruption to operations due to a cyber incident. Cyber attacks caused damage to the reputation of around 43 percent of the surveyed organizations. A further 30 percent said the attacker gained unauthorized access to the system, while almost 20 percent experienced a theft of intellectual property.
