According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in China in 2023 on social commerce, 80 percent of respondents between the ages of 25 to 34 answered that they purchased things via social media because it was convenient. This was the most common reason across all age groups. Having a sale or promotional code was the second biggest reason for buying via social media.
