Green Hydrogen International has the largest proposed green hydrogen capacity of any company in the world. As of year-end 2024, the company's hydrogen project pipeline had a size of 44.4 million tons of capacity.
The growing hydrogen storage market
To collectively meet the Paris agreement goals and achieve net zero emissions by 2050, the world is increasing its green hydrogen production capacity. Not only does this increase the value of the hydrogen market, but also the market for hydrogen storage techniques. The market size for hydrogen storage tanks is expected to increase to 1.2 trillion U.S. dollars in 2030, as Asia Pacific takes the lead. Type 1 containers made of mainly steel or aluminum are expected to remain the primary hydrogen storage container type for the rest of the decade.
Low-carbon hydrogen projects and infrastructure
As of November 17, 2023, nearly 600 low-carbon hydrogen projects were already operational worldwide. Of this amount, the vast majority were powered through electrolysis.
