Despite a drop in 2018, the percentage of people of color on full-time staff at nonprofit organizations in the U.S. has been steadily increasing since 2017. According to a 2023 survey, approximately 38.2 percent of full-time staff at U.S. nonprofits identified themselves as people of color.
