WhatsApp downloads Latin America quarterly 2023 | Statista

In the third quarter of 2023, WhatsApp generated 9.416 million downloads in Brazil and 6.13 in Brazil. The app reached its peak of downloads during the first quarter of 2016 and is the most used messaging solution in the region. Despite having decreased in popularity after the first quarter of 2021, when it released a controversial required privacy policy update, the app has now returned to a similar number of downloads since then, while other competitors either stagnated or decreased throughout the region.
