Since the 2021 takeover of Wrexham AFC by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, matchday attendances have grown significantly. In the 2022/23 season, the average attendance at Wrexham's Racehorse Ground for men's home games was 9,973, nearly double the number of spectators prior to the takeover and the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
