According to a survey on social commerce conducted by Rakuten Insight in Indonesia in 2023, approximately 56 percent of respondents answered that they used TikTok for purchases during the last 12 months. The same survey indicated that around 40 percent of Indonesian consumers regularly shopped on social media.
