In April 2022, about 99 percent of the unique visitors of MX Player accessed the OTT platform through a desktop in India. However, only about 87 percent of Netflix's unique visitors used a desktop to access the site during that period. Domestic video streaming platforms were able to penetrate the Indian market far better than global ones due to their affordability and availability of content in several Indian languages.
