In 2022, the space industry in South Korea made investments worth approximately 391.5 billion South Korean won. This was an increase from the previous year, and the second-highest figure recorded during the surveyed period. With the successful launch of the Nuri rocket (also known as KSLV-II) in 2022, South Korea became the seventh country in the world that was able to put a satellite weighing over one metric ton in orbit.
