In 2022, the space industry in South Korea recorded an overall revenue of approximately 2.95 trillion South Korean won. This was higher than the previous year, with increased demand for satellite antenna exports leading to a increase in revenue for the satellite broadcast sector. With the successful launch of the Nuri rocket (also known as KSLV-II) in 2022, South Korea became the seventh country in the world that was able to put a satellite weighing over one metric ton in orbit.
