According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, around 49 percent of adult respondents stated that their reason for reading e-books was because it was easy to store and carry them around compared to printed books. This was also the most common reason among students, at almost 36 percent. However, students also valued the available contents and free usage of e-books more highly than adult readers, who were more interested in the practical side of things.
