In a study conducted in Israel in 2016, more cases of dementia were recorded among women 85 years and older than among men in the same age group. 24.54 percent of women in this age group in the general population had a diagnosis of dementia, in comparison to 18.15 percent of men. The total share of people with a dementia diagnosis was 22.10 percent in this age group.
