Trust in mass media in selected countries in Latin America and the Caribbean 2023

As of August 2023, more than 55 percent of people surveyed in the Dominican Republic, Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, Paraguay, and Brazil expressed trust in mass media. In Chile and Peru, the share stood below 40 percent. Overall, trust in mass media in Latin America and the Caribbean declined throughout the 2010s, with the regional average standing at 50.1 percent.
