In 2021, the share of postdoctoral research in Israeli universities in biological sciences accounted for almost a third of all research (32.7 percent). The physical sciences followed this field, with almost 20 percent. General arts and applied arts constituted Israel's least researched academic field, with only 0.5 percent of the research on this subject.
