Global views on Ukraine territory regain vs. ending the war as soon as possible 2023
Public opinion regarding the outcome of the Russia-Ukraine war highly varied across the world. Over half of respondents in India believed that the war had to stop as soon as possible even if that meant that Ukraine would have to give control over some of its territories to Russia, according to a survey conducted in December 2022 and January 2023. By contrast, in the Great Britain, more than 40 percent of survey participants held the view that Ukraine had to regain all its territory even if that meant a longer war or more Ukrainians killed and displaced.
