Population without electricity access in Africa 2021, by country
As of 2021, lack of access to electricity was most critical in the Democratic Republic of Congo within the African continent, as over 81 million of the Congolese population was without access. It was followed by Nigeria and Ethiopia with 65.3 million and 59.3 million people lacking access to electricity, respectively.
