A March 2024 survey found that interest in participating in a metaverse experience among adults in the United States was strongly driven by middle-aged adults. Among respondents aged 35 to 54 years, about 40 percent stated that they were interested or very interested in participating in metaverse activities. Among the general population, more than four in ten respondents were not at all interested in metaverse participation.
