According to a survey conducted in Japan during September 2022, more than 72 percent of gamers who wanted to use virtual reality (VR) devices wanted to use them in order to watch visual content. An almost equally high share stated that they wanted to play games. VR devices include products such as the PlayStation VR2 headset for the PlayStation 5 or the Meta Quest 2 headset developed by Meta Platforms.
