In November 2022, nearly 63 percent of consumers in the Canadian province of Manitoba bought Loblaw's "No Name" brand products after the company chose to freeze the prices of 1,500 of its products for more than three months, starting on October 17, 2022, as a strategy to cope with rising food prices. Another 61 percent of respondents from Newfoundland and Labrador stated buying the company's private label products since the start of the price freeze.
