Bolivia and Guatemala were some of the Latin American countries with the highest informal employment rates in the construction sector in 2022. Over 91 percent of the construction workers in those countries were informal. Chile was the country with the lowest informal construction employment rate. Bolivia was one of the countries in Latin America with the most construction workers as a share of total employment in cities.
