In the 2023 fiscal year, Orlando International Airport was selected to receive around 69 million dollars in funding as part of the bipartisan Airport Terminal Program. This funding will be allocated to part of the construction of a 450-foot enclosed pedestrian walkway in Terminal C as well as the construction of four additional multiple aircraft ramp system gates in the same terminal. Chicago O'Hare International Airport was also selected for the program that same year and is expected to receive some 50 millions in funding.
