In 2023, the majority of respondents from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, and New Zealand, regardless of their generation, stated that the main action taken when changing one of their online passwords was to change it completely. Only eight percent of respondents among Baby Boomers used passwords suggested by websites or applications, while this share reached 26 percent among Gen Z respondents.
