The number of international tourist arrivals in the regions of Aysén and Magallanes surpassed 140 thousand in 2021, increasing by 30.4 percent versus the previous year. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the inbound tourism volume in these Chilean region had dropped to only a few thousands.
