Spain: alternative fuel commercial vehicle sales by vehicle and propulsion type 2021
Nearly 7,600 light commercial vehicles with a maximum mass under 3.5 metric tons sold in Spain in 2021 were alternative fuel vehicles. Most of these were diesel hybrid vehicles, though liquefied petroleum gas was also a popular alternative to traditional internal combustion engine light commercial vehicles. Heavy commercial vehicles, such as industrial vehicles with a maximum mass over 3.5 metric tons, had the smallest share of the alternative fuel commercial vehicle market in Spain, partly due to a lack of accessibility to charging infrastructure for heavy vehicles.
