From January 2022 to July 2022, the transport volumes of commodities across Ukrainian rails dropped as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The most significant decline recorded was in iron ore shipments which decreased from approximately 6.1 million metric tons to 1.7 metric tons in the specified period. In July 2022, coal was the primary good transported by Ukranian Railways.
