Number of patients who spent the night without a bed in ER in France 2021-2023
In France, emergency services are struggling due to a shortage of human resources. Since December 2021, over 30 thousand patients have been left on stretchers at night due to the country's lack of beds in emergency services (ER). For example, on the night of 27 to 28 February 2023, an estimated 71 patients spent the night on stretchers in ERs across the country.
