According to a survey of adults in the United States conducted in January 2023, 17 percent of respondents age between 30 to 44 years old claimed to have used ChatGPT to generate text themselves. In comparison, 48 percent of respondents aged between 18 and 29 years old and another 46 percent of respondents aged between 30 to 44 years old reported having seen text being generated by the AI technology for someone else. Meanwhile, 59 percent of those older than 65 years old respondents claimed to have never used nor seen anyone else use it.
