Close to 64 percent of women and 39.2 percent of men stated that they purchased makeup items for themselves in drugstores. Among online shopping channels, marketplace-type platforms were preferred over brand-specific websites.

5,007 female and 758 male respondents who have bought makeup items within the last year were surveyed for this question.
