Between 2018 and the first half of 2022, Saudi Arabia was the leading issuer of green and sustainable sukkus in the GCC region, with four issuances. During this period, the cumulated value of green and sustainability Islamic bonds (sukuk) issued in Saudi Arabia was worth 2.8 billion U.S. dollars.
