According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, around 84 percent of respondents between the ages of three and nine years stated that they had made a purchase at a store specialized in selling character goods and merchandise within the last year. The lowest purchase rate was among those in their fifties, of whom about 72 percent had bought something.
