According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, around 67.5 percent of respondents in their thirties stated that they had visited a store specialized in selling character goods and merchandise within the last year. More than half of the respondents in each age group had visited such a store, with the exception of those in their fifties and sixties, where the visitation rate stood at about 48 percent and 47 percent respectively.
