As of 2004, the total bond turnover rate on Euronext was roughly 39.6 billion euros. This amount steadily decreased to almost one-third of the value, reaching 13.5 billion euros in 2017. A spike was encountered from 2018 to 2019 as the total bond turnover rate reached almost 40 billion euros. However, this amount soon decreased as levels rested at around 10 billion euros by the year-end of 2022. The turnover rate provides insight into how often assets are bought and sold. Bonds are a debt security used by local governments, agencies, or large organizations to raise funds with the intent of paying bondholders back at a later time with added interest. Bond trading levels are typically higher than other securities such as actively managed funds. Due to this, the turnover rate is typically higher than many equity securities.

According to the source: Euronext Growth is suited to small- and mid- sized companies (SMEs) that want to raise funds to finance growth. Listing requirements are simplified and reporting requirements are lighter than for the regulated market. e. Euronext Access markets are designed especially for start-ups and SMEs that wish to join a stock exchange to finance growth and gain the reputational advantages of listing, but do not meet the criteria for admission to Euronext’s regulated markets or Euronext Growth. As Euronext Access markets are not regulated under the EU Directive, the admission criteria are much simpler and less extensive.
