According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2024, around 90 percent of respondents in their thirties stated that they had bought goods or merchandise related to a character within the last year. While the purchase rate generally declined by age group, character goods were still highly popular among all ages, with the lowest purchase rate lying at 63 percent.
