In 2022, oncology drugs remained at the top of the agenda for the Chinese pharmaceutical industry, representing more than 40 percent of all Investigational New Drugs (IND) and New Drug Applications (NDA) filed in the country. Infectious diseases occupied around ten percent of the drug firms' research and development capacity, followed by disorders of the immune system, endocrine and metabolic diseases, and skin diseases.
