Popular places for grocery shopping in Czechia 2018-2022
Almost everybody in Czechia shopped for groceries in a supermarket or hypermarket throughout the observed period. Over 90 percent of people said they also like to shop in smaller grocery shops. The share of people shopping in specialized grocery shops such as a bakery or butcher's shops decreased, but only by three percent to 86 percent in 2022. Half of the respondents claimed they shop at markets that same year, while 15 percent stated they go to zero waste shops.
