The share of people aged 65 or older in Czechia increased in the observed period. While in 2000, there was around 13.86 percent of them (1.42 million according to the source), which rose to over 20.6 percent in 2021 (2.17 million). In 2023, this share dropped to 20.52 (2.237 million).
