A survey covering four Latin American countries (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico) revealed that 36 percent of these consumers prefer immediate discounts in percentage terms as a promotional mechanism. Discounts in cash came in second place, followed by receiving a free item for a specific value.

* 20,534 consumers were surveyed across 23 countries worldwide. The sample size in Brazil was 1,002 participants, while Chile, Colombia, and Mexico each counted 1,000 respondents.
