Change in frequency of visiting physical stores in China 2022, by city tier
A survey conducted among Chinese adults in November 2022 found that more than 70 percent of respondents in China's first-tier cities reduced their frequency of visiting physical stores compared to the previous year. Comparatively, around six percent of consumers from tier-3 and below cities said they visited brick-and-mortar stores more often.
