During a study of free ad-supported TV services in the United States and Canada, it was found that the news content genre was the best performing in terms of advertising effectiveness, with news channels on the measured FAST platforms garnering 38 percent of ad impressions in the fourth quarter of 2023. At the same time, the entertainment content channels attracted seven percent of ad impressions in the two North American countries.
