In 2023, the country's exports of food and beverages made up nearly 60 percent of the total merchandise export revenue. Data for Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Russia were not available. The source specified that "food comprises the commodities in SITC sections 0 (food and live animals), 1 (beverages and tobacco), and 4 (animal and vegetable oils and fats) and SITC division 22 (oil seeds, oil nuts, and oil kernels)." Georgia and Ukraine are not official members of the CIS and were added due to their geographic and economic proximity to CIS countries.
