Clinical studies in Argentina 2023, by status
As of February 2023, there were a total of 3,586 clinical studies performed in Argentina. By status, the vast majority corresponded to completed studies, which amounted to 2,139 clinical trials, representing nearly 60 percent of the total. Meanwhile, 545 clinical studies were recruiting participants, and 339 medical trials were terminated or finished earlier. In 2020, the Argentinean pharmaceutical industry spent around 401 million Argentine pesos on research and development.
